How to use the Dateclub Online Messenger
Internal mailing system Use the Dateclub Messenger service to send and receive messages to and from other members. Messages are securely stored for you on the Website ready for you to read and reply to. You can pick up your messages from anywhere, simply by logging on to Dateclub. You can view all the messages received and sent and delete messages at will. For your own safety and security we do not recommend you giving out your personal e-mail address to other members, always use the Online Messenger. We reserve the right to cancel the membership of those who use Dateclub to promote commercial services or inappropriate activities. If you receive unsavoury messages, click here.
Sending a Message If you know the membership number of the member you want to send a message to, you can either click the Send Message link on the left or if they have already sent you e-mail in your In Box, you can reply from that. If you are new to the system and haven't yet made contact with anyone, you will need to do a Search to find someone who you wish to send a message to. Please be courteous and note that members found using inappropriate language which causes offence to fellow members, will have their membership cancelled without notice.
In Box New messages are stored in your In Box. You can view messages and private photos sent from other members. New messages are flagged with a and you are shown the date and time the message was received in your In Box, together with the name and reference of the member who sent the message. Click Read to view the message. Click Reply to reply to the message. Replies are sent immediately to the other members In Box. A copy of this reply will then be placed in your Sent Box, although this may take a few seconds to appear. Clicking Delete removes the message from the system. Note it may take a few seconds for deleted mail to be removed from the system. Clicking Block will stop that particular member from sending you any further messages messages. However you can use the Blocked Users link to Unblock people at any time if you change your mind.
Sent Box This is your record of messages sent. The Message Read column shows you if the person you sent the message to has read it yet and if they have, it will give you the date and time they read it, so you can actually see if people have read your messages yet. Again, you can click Read to view the message you sent and Delete to delete the message from the system.
Sending a Private Photo The Online Messenger system allows you to attach Private Photos to messages you send to other members. Once you have composed the message the system will ask if you want to attach a Private Photo to send with that message. In order to do this however you first need to make sure you have a good selection of Private Photos in your Private Gallery. You can upload as many Private Photos as you like using the Add Private Photos link. You can then view and delete these at any time from the View Private Gallery link.
