I am having problems logging in with my Members Reference and Password?
Don't forget that passwords are case sensitive and must be typed in exactly as you did when registering with us. If you are not sure of your user and password then simply click here and type in your e-mail address and we send e-mail your login details directly to you.

If it is saying you have been removed from the site then it may well be that your details have been manually deleted by Dateclub as your profile may have contravened our terms of use

If you are sure you are typing the correct user and password but it is not allowing you in then it is more than likely that your Internet Explorer settings are incorrect in which case you will have problems viewing a lot of Websites. Click here to test your browser.

Is this service Free?
It is completely free to register and perform a Standard search. You can also send as many messages as you like as long as you are not replying to incoming messages. If you like the service and want to also see the photo galleries, read messages sent to you, view and upload private photos and chat online, you then have the option of upgrading to Premier Membership.

I have upgraded to Premier Membership but it is still showing as Standard Membership?
Firstly it may well be you have 2 browsers open and you are looking at an old one. Shut all your browsers down, reopen Internet Explorer, go to www.dateclub.com and login and it will log you in as a Premier Member

If you are still being shown as a Standard Member then it is more than likely that your Internet Explorer settings are incorrect in which case you will have problems viewing a lot of Websites.

How do I change my details?
Simple, just click the Update Profile link on the left. Edit any changes you wish and click Update at the bottom of the screen. Note that if you want to change your name you must e-mail us stating that you want to change your name and stating the new name you wish to change to. This is done for security purposes.

Your change will be visible immediately but note that all changes are vetted and any profile containing abusive language or contact details will be removed.

How do I cancel my membership?
We would much rather you tell us of any problems you may be having as we do not like to lose valued members. Simply click here and tell us the problem and we will do what we can to help.

If you definitively want to cancel your membership note that membership can only be reinstated by request. To cancel your membership just hit the My Account link on the left and follow the instructions on that page.

How do I search for potential partners?
Simply click the Search button at the top of the screen and the available search options will appear underneath the button.

As well as the Standard Search of everyone in your area, you can also do a Keyword Search (e.g. searching for everyone interested in fitness), and a Photo Search (allowing you to search all photo members).

How does the Favorites / Who's looking at me function work?
Favorites

When you are performing your searches you can at any time hit the Add to favorite button. This will add them to your list of Favorites which you can view at any time by hitting the Favorites and then Add Favorites link on the top of the screen. You can also stores notes about each one such as 'Got a date next Tuesday' etc. You can remove them from this list at any time by hitting Remove Favorite.

Who's looking at me

When someone looks at your detailed profile page then they will appear on the Who's looking at me link under 'Favorites' at the top of the screen. As with Favorites you can remove them from the list at any time by hitting the Remove from list button next to their profile.

What is the difference between adding a Profile Photo and adding Private Photos?
There are two types of photo.

Your Profile photo appears next to your Profile and is visible by everyone. This should be a head and shoulders shot of yourself only with your face clearly visible....and don't forget to smile!

Private Photos can be uploaded and viewed in your Private Photo Gallery and then attached to messages you send out via the Online Messenger. You can add as many Private Photos as you want and these can only be seen by people who you choose to send them to. Some people use the Private Gallery to add Private Photos of themselves that cannot be shown in the public area but others add photos of themselves on holiday, with family or friends, or even their pets. It is totally up to you what photos you add to your Private Gallery.

So to summarise your Profile photo is visible to all but your private photos can only be seen by people you send them to.

How do I add or change my Profile photo?
The Profile photo is the photo which appears next to your profile.

Adding your Profile photo is really easy and should vastly increase the number of messages you receive. Simply click here to add your photo.

Once you have added your photo, if you are a Premier member you can then change it any stage.

How do I add my Private photos?
Private Photos can be uploaded and viewed in your Private Photo Gallery and then attached to messages you send out via the Online Messenger. You can upload as many Private Photos as you want and these can only be seen by people who you choose to send them to.

Some people use the Private Gallery to add Private Photos of themselves that cannot be shown in the public area but others add photos of themselves on holiday, with family or friends, or even their pets. It is totally up to you what photos you add to your Private Gallery.

How long does it take for photos to appear on the Website?
Profile photos can take between 1 and 3 days to be vetted, resized and added to your profile.

Private Photos uploaded to your Private Gallery appear immediately.

How do I send messages?
Once you have done a Search you are presented with a list of potential partners on the site.

You can either click the Contact Me button next to their details or if you prefer, click View Profile to find out more first and click the Contact Me button under their photo. This will take you into our Online Messenger service.

Once you have compiled the message you then have the option of attaching a private photo from your private gallery to your message but this is optional.

Messages are sent immediately and an e-mail confirmation is sent to the person asking them to login to Dateclub to check out their messages.

The Online Messenger Service has been designed with your security and safety in mind. Never display your e-mail address or contact phone numbers in your profile. Always use the Online Messenger to send messages to Dateclub members as this protects your anonymity and ensures no viruses are sent to you.

I have sent messages but I am not sure if they have been received?
Your messages are sent instantly via the Dateclub Online Messenger service. The recipient will then receive an e-mail informing them that they have an outstanding message and asking them to login to Dateclub and read their messages.

You can easily check whether they have received and read your message by clicking Sent Box on the left and look in the Read column to see if they have read your message yet. Note however that some people do not logon to the Internet every day and so you may have to be patient and wait a little while for replies to your messages.

I do not seem to be getting any response from my messages?
Firstly view your profile (under the My Account button). Have you spent time making sure your profile is as detailed as possible ? Most people will not respond to profiles with insufficient information. Go to Update Profile (under the My Account button) and take time to make your profile as detailed and as interesting as possible.

Secondly have you added a photo to your profile. Over 80% of people want to see a photo before sending a message and this is essential if you are serious about finding that someone special. I have received an e-mail about a message sent to me but I can't find the message on the site?
Sometimes this occurs if a member sends you a message and then later decides for whatever reason to delete the message. Or it may be the member has since left Dateclub.com or it may be they have been removed from the site due to a breach of our terms.

I am having problems getting into the Chat Room?
99% of people should have no problems getting into the Chat Room. Always use Internet Explorer (version 4 onwards in the case of PC's) to view Dateclub.com as some of the more advanced features may not be supported by browsers such as AOL. Also ensure your browser has Java enabled. If you do not think you have Java installed you can get it for free from http://www.java.com/en/download/

If you still cant get in, reboot your PC and try again. If you are still having difficulties contact us for technical assistance clearly stating what browser and version you are using.

How do I Chat online?
Simply click the Chat button at the top then click Join Chat link.

You may then have to wait a few seconds for the chat server to respond to your request. Then next to Nickname type your name or dc reference and hit Connect. After a few more seconds a new window will appear.
In the right hand panel you will see a list of users chatting and on the left you will see the current conversations. Under here is a blank white panel. Simply click the panel, type what you want and hit Send, its that simple. If you want to select a little icon for yourself, just click the Settings button, select an icon with your mouse and hit Save and your character icon will instantly change. When you have finished Chatting always remember to hit the Logout button so everyone knows you have left the room for the day.

Why is there a sometimes a difference between the number of Users Chatting and the actual number of people in there?
Unfortunately people do not always use the LOGOUT button when they have finished in the Chat Room and sometimes it takes the system a few minutes to recognise this and adjust the number of Users Chatting.

When I register I enter my country but it is not being accepted?
The most likely cause is that your Firewall settings are too high and will prevent websites from working correctly. Although this site does not use cookies you need to set your Firewall to accept all cookies in order to allow most websites to function correctly.

Failing that ensure that your Internet Explorer settings are set correctly.

How do I Logout of the website?
Simply click Logout on the top of the screen.

However the Chat Room does have a separate Logout button and if you fail to Logout of Chat Room it may show you as still been in the Chat Room and cause you problems if you try to go back in again.
