Terms of Service

All registrations are manually checked to ensure validity. If you suspect a person of any wrongdoing, or wish to report him or her for a violation of our Terms of Service, please click here to make a formal complaint.

Dateclub reserve the right to delete the membership of any person at any time. Any of the following may result in instant cancellation of membership:

Registering with an invalid or inactive e-mail address.

Registering more than once.

Registering on behalf of a third-party without their due consent.

Registering a profile which we deem to believe represents a person younger than 18 years of age.

Profile or messages containing random characters or meaningless information.

Profile or messages containing potentially offensive, abusive, threatening , insulting, harassing, privacy invading, libellous or unlawful content.

Profile or messages containing dishonest statements or attempting to portray the author as something they are not.

Profile or messages containing information that suggest the user is using Dateclub as a means of promoting commercial services, whether sexual or otherwise.

Multiple messages containing similar wording sent to many different members, and similar spamming techniques.

Any submitted photo which is deemed to be of a sexual nature or otherwise inappropriate.

Up to a third of current registrations are cancelled for one of the reasons above, as we only accept registrations from people who are serious about using our service.

Disclaimer of Liability

Dateclub is not liable to the users or members of its service where the site becomes unavailable due to a hardware or software failure caused by third-party Internet/communications providers. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Profiles

Profiles may be altered at our discretion in order to correct spelling or improve the layout of the profile. We cannot guarantee the integrity of information contained in any profile. We reserve the right to remove profiles of any members who have broken Dateclub Terms & Conditions e.g. those who use the Dateclub Messenger service to send abusive messages.

In the case of Premium members an e-mail will be sent detailing the reason for the action and a full refund will be given. If you are not happy with your details been made public then do not register your details on Dateclub. Photos

We reserve the right to manipulate all submitted photos in order to maximise the effectiveness of the photo on the Website and to meet our own acceptable content guidelines. We also reserve the right to feature your photo on the Home page of dateclub.com unless you specifically ask us not to do so.

There are two kinds of photo on Dateclub. You have the option to submit a Profile Photo which is displayed with your profile details. You also have the option to upload an unlimited number of Private Photos. These Private Photos cannot be seen on the Website but allows you to attach any of these Private Photos to messages you wish to send to another member.

We strongly suggest that you give those that you wish to send Private Photos to, prior warning and therefore the choice as to whether they wish to receive these photos or not. If this is not done and a complaint is subsequently received from a member receiving such a photo we reserve the right to cancel your membership.

The Private Photos will only be visible to members who have upgraded their account to Premium Membership. Any submitted photo which is deemed to be of a sexual nature or otherwise inappropriate which will be removed and may result in your membership being cancelled.

Premium Membership

If you decide you want to contact another member or reply to another member's message then you will need to upgrade to Premier Membership. As a Premier Member you will then be able to send unlimited messages to as many other members as you wish.

Cancellation of service by Dateclub

We reserve the right to suspend your account or remove your profile at any time for any reason at our discretion. (For guidance in this matter see our Terms of Service above). No correspondence will be entered into in the event of this happening. We are not obliged to give a reason.

If you have broken any of our terms to even the smallest degree, even in response to any activity which also breaks our terms, it is very likely that your account will be removed immediately.

Cancellation of service by Member

You have the right to cancel your membership at any time. Simply go to My Details > Delete Profile. Note however that future reinstatement is at the discretion of Dateclub.com

Note that in accordance with The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, the cancellation period begins with the day on which the contract is concluded. The cancellation period ends on the expiry of 7 working days, beginning with the day after the day on which the contract is concluded. If you decide to exercise your right to cancel, Dateclub will return your full membership fee money within 30 days of cancellation.

Member Messaging & Electronic Mail

Dateclub Ltd is registered with the Date Protection Commission (Registration Number PZ513307X). As such Dateclub Members privacy is protected by the use of our own unique Online Messaging system so your e-mail address is never divulged unless you choose to do this when communicating with other members although we strongly advise against this practise. Mobile Dateclub

The Mobile Dateclub service enables Dateclub members to view other members profiles and photos via the mobile phone network. Dateclub reserves the right to display member profiles and photos via the Mobile Dateclub service.

Both Standard and Premium members have the choice at any point in their membership to upgrade their membership to utilise the Mobile Dateclub service. The Mobile Dateclub service is provided in association with Mobile Entertainments Corporation Ltd and is provided at a cost of £1.50 a search.
